Every year, around 150 RV families take over a campground in Madison, Florida for a month. The kids play sports and put on a full play, sets and costumes and all. The adults do what entrepreneurs do when you put them somewhere with nowhere to be: they talk business.
That’s where Brian Robinson got into a conversation with Christy Cox’s husband. Brian had spent two decades building companies that ran without him — and was about to be down to his last one. He wanted to help other founders do the same; the problem was starting over from zero.
Christy’s husband listened, then said four words: “Talk to my wife.”
Christy had already spent roughly twenty months building VeriScale — a methodology, a framework, and a growing community of founders ready to step out of the daily grind. What she needed was a partner who’d done the work, not once but repeatedly, with real capital and real exits. What Brian needed was a platform already in motion. Two operators, the same conviction: the founders they wanted to serve weren’t short on ambition. No one had ever shown them how to build a business that didn’t depend on them.
