The operator who can read the team problem in the financial statements.
Fifteen years helping founders build businesses that run without them — and the lived proof, from the road.
Running VeriScale full-time from the road since 2023
Christy is the founder and CEO of VeriScale. Most of the founders she works with have never had someone in their corner who is both a builder and a numbers person. She is both.
She spent several years as a fractional CFO before moving into fractional COO and Integrator work — which means she can walk into a business and see the operations and team problems reflected in the financials.
Christy is a 3x founder who has built, scaled, and exited companies across product and service industries. Before VeriScale, she served as VP of Client Services at a CAS firm running 70% offshore — where she built the outcomes-only, async-first operating model that VeriScale’s clients now install in their own businesses.
Since 2023 she’s run the entire company full-time from the road — not as a lifestyle flex, but as the cleanest possible proof that a business can be built to run without its founder at the center of it.
Christy didn’t build VeriScale from theory. She built it after living the exact trap her clients are in.
One afternoon she drove into her neighborhood. People mowing lawns. The same weekend grind. She looked around and thought: is this the American dream? She meant it as a real question. And the answer was no. Not for her family.
The family planned to travel for a year. Then two. Now it’s indefinite. Her daughters learn on the road. Her husband is figuring out who he is outside the Marine Corps. And Christy is building the thing she should have been building all along — just from a different zipcode every few weeks.
Once she’d done it for herself, she couldn’t unsee how many capable founders were stuck in the same place — and VeriScale became the shortcut she never had.
We can always get more money. We cannot get more time. This is not a motivational quote. It is a structural fact that most founders build their businesses in direct opposition to.
You can build a business on outcomes — not on how many hours you are visible. A high-performing team with real ownership will move mountains. This is not idealism. This is what she has lived.
VAs and offshore team members are not task processors. They are people with capacity for leadership and genuine contribution. Most founders use them wrong and then conclude offshore doesn’t work. The problem is almost never the person.
Scale leanly. More hires do not automatically create more leverage. Most founders scaling past capacity need systems before headcount.
Our off days are more powerful than our on days. The gaps are where the real thinking happens. Everyone is optimizing output. Almost nobody is protecting the space where insight lives.
Leadership is creating the future that wouldn’t otherwise exist. Listening and asking powerful questions is more effective than telling. A good leader helps people find out what they actually want — and then builds toward it.

Every week: one framework, one founder insight, one thing to act on. Written for founders who are still the bottleneck — and done with it.
The whole point of building a business on systems instead of on yourself is what happens when you close the laptop. For Christy, that’s a life with room in it — time with the people who matter, in the places worth showing up for.

That kind of freedom isn’t a reward you earn after years of grinding. It’s what a business built on the right systems is supposed to give you — and it’s exactly what Christy helps founders build for themselves.
