Christy Cox
The operator who can read the team problem in the financial statements.
Fifteen years helping founders build businesses that run without them — and the lived proof, from the road.

An operator and a financial mind — in the same person.
Christy is the founder and CEO of VeriScale. Most of the founders she works with have never had someone in their corner who is both a builder and a numbers person. She is both.
She spent several years as a fractional CFO before moving into the fractional COO and Integrator work that defines VeriScale today — which means she can walk into a business and see the operations and team problems reflected in the financials. She's built multiple service and e-commerce companies, led one through real growth, and created the framework VeriScale's clients now follow.
Since 2023 she's run the entire company full-time from the road — not as a lifestyle flex, but as the cleanest possible proof that a business can be built to run without its founder sitting at the center of it.
She got out of the bottleneck… then went looking for everyone still in it.
In 2015, Christy launched her own accounting and consulting practice and grew it to six figures with clients across the country. Then she hit the wall every service founder eventually hits — she needed help, didn't have time to train anyone, and couldn't afford the people senior enough to walk in and just do the work. She filed the problem away. It would become the business she'd build a decade later.
In 2017, she and her husband co-founded Product Protection Solutions — a loss-prevention technology company that hit seven figures in year one, scaled to multiple seven figures, and partnered with some of the most recognized brands in the world. They survived a pandemic, pivoted when they had to, and sold the company in 2023.
While still running PPS, Christy took a fractional CFO role that grew into VP of Client Services at a professional services firm — helping build it into multiple business segments with a team of over 100 people, 70% of them offshore. That's where she learned what an outcomes-based culture actually looks like when it works. How to lead without being the bottleneck. That the agreements between people — spoken and unspoken — determine almost everything. The CEO Operating System took shape there.
After selling PPS, the family packed into a 44-foot RV for what started as a two-year adventure and now has no defined end. Christy started VeriScale to build the resource she never had — for the founders still inside the trap she spent fifteen years finding her way out of.
The work: install the system, then step out of the middle.
Through CEO Foundations and VeriScale's fractional engagements, Christy installs the operating system a founder-led business needs to scale — and pulls the founder out of the role of most expensive employee.

The whole point of building a business on systems instead of on yourself is what happens when you close the laptop. For Christy, that’s a life with room in it — time with the people who matter, in the places worth showing up for.

That kind of freedom isn’t a reward you earn after years of grinding. It’s what a business built on the right systems is supposed to give you — and it’s exactly what Christy helps founders build for themselves.
