Christy Cox, about VeriScale and how it came to be

I’ve Built Businesses. I’ve Also Been the Bottleneck in One.

That’s exactly why VeriScale exists.

My Story

My name is Chrsity Cox and I’ve started three companies. Over 15 years, I’ve worked as a fractional COO and, before that, a fractional CFO — sitting inside other people’s businesses and watching the same pattern play out over and over: growth doesn’t stall because founders aren’t good at their jobs. It stalls because the business was never built to run without them.

VeriScale exists to fix that — the structural problem, not the founder.

How I Actually Work

I’m not interested in handing you a deck of recommendations and disappearing. VeriScale is a team — when you work with us, you’re not just getting my calendar, you’re getting the people who actually build and maintain the systems we design together.

That’s intentional. It’s proof I help build businesses where you don’t have to be at the center of it — including my own.

Why The Experience Matters

Most operations consultants can tell you your processes are broken. Fewer have actually sat inside the finances of a growing business and seen what that breakage costs.

My background gives me that lens — I don’t just fix how your business runs, I can connect that directly to your numbers. That’s the difference between “this feels better” and “this is measurably working.

Outside of VeriScale

My family and I travel full-time, with a home base in North Carolina — which also means I get to meet up with clients in person more than you’d expect. I’m a big history buff, so I love any excuse to explore historical sites and national parks along the way. I’m also the mom of two daughters and the wife of a military veteran.
